Maybelline Coloroma: Caramelo

Today I will be reviewing my current love for nails :-) - Maybelline Coloroma in Caramelo.
This range of Maybelline has vivid colors both funky, plain. I love the color outcome of this particular shade.

Price and Quantity:

My take on this:

To get the perfect color out of this nailpolish it took me 3 coats. Yes really. It was so transparent that I applied 1st coat... No result. I applied 2nd coat... No result.. I was so disappointed with it. But in the 3rd coat I got my color. Yipeee... I wont bother applying twice or thrice to get my color because I can finish this full bottle quickly and get an other one. So that I can buy more shades.
This has gold shimmer in it which is not so obvious.
It gives out glossy finish for the nails. The glossy look was there for 2 days on my nails.
Decently priced for the quantity.
It was there on my nails without chipping for 3 days. Decent staying power.
But totally I liked the colors in this particular range.

On my nails:

Final Verdict: Good range with beautiful shades. Try it out. You should have them in your collection. You will definitely don't regret buying it.

I hope there is nothing much to explain about it. But the only tricky part is to make sure, payasam consistency is not thick.

Ingredients:

Milk
Elachi-4
Sugar-1 cup
Semiya-1 cup
water-2 cups
few cashews, kismis
ghee-2tspn

1. Fry cashews, kismis, semiya in ghee and keep it aside.
2. Now boil water in a pan and add semiya, elachi to it.

4. Once semiya is cooked switch off the stove.
5. When you are about to serve heat the milk, take some cooked semiya in a bowl and add milk to it.
6. Garnish with cashews and kismis.

When comes to Himalaya products I will buy them without any hesitation as they are totally herbal. One good thing about these products are either they provide good result or not... they won't be bad on you.
Coming to the kajal here are the pros and cons of it:

Pros:
  • The color of it is darkest dark- perfect black.
  • It doesn't sting my eyes.
  • Packaging is good with green color outer cap.
  • Hygenic- as there is no need of digging your finger to get the product.
  • Plastic packaging with twist up cone shaped product.
  • Easily removable with any cleanser or oil.
  • Reasonable priced for the amount provided.
Cons:
  • It is not smudge free. It smudges badly when wiped.
  • Staying power is ok ok. Stays for maximum 2hrs (may be because of my watery eyes).

Finally, I would say this is not a super duper best kajal but a good daily wear kajal.

Will I repurchase? No. This iteself will last me for long time. I will try other kajals in the market just to keep them in my collection if needed. Even I am not a kajal person as they smudge and makes me look like a racoon.

Hope you guys found my review useful.

Arts&Crafts: Anchor Stitch Kit

Stiching is my hobby. Still I like to do simple works which completes in small durations (I dont want to stress my eyes by stiching delicate designs)

In search of those kind of works I came across this Anchor Stitch kit. Till then I thought the easy way to create decorative wall hangings is by sand painting. Anyways it is not as easy as sand painting but yet simple compared to other stiching works.
Manyfactured by Madura Coats Private Limited.

Items provided in the kit:

  1. Netted sheet with printed design and clues to fill the colour.
  2. Cotton threads. Each will have a number associated to it and in the kit alphabets will be provided for each color. These alphabets will be provided as clues in the netted sheet.
  3. Needle
Price: somewhere around 300Rs (I don't remember this exactly. As I bought this 1 and half years back

How to Stitch:

Only thing we need to do is to identify proper color and stitch in the vertical directions in the netted sheet for the part related to that color. Needle needs to be taken up from back side of the hole from the top border and should be inserted into the hole of bottom border in the same line.

Its very simple and they have very good collection of designs in different sizes.
We can decorate this by pasting some chamki or kundans etc. Frame the sheet. It looks beautiful with the work. Even if there is no separate border for two colors in the design we can differentiate the design properly. Availability is not a problem.
Hope you people like this.Try to do this you will never regret of buying these designs.

Carrot Kheer recipe

"The rain that falls on a day when you'd just as soon stay in bed a little longer, write letters or read a good book by the fire, take early tea with hot scones and jam and look out the streaked window with  complacency."  ~Susan Allen Toth, England For All Seasons

Instead of "tea with hot scones and jam" I will add hot hot Carrot Kheer (drooling over :-))

To brighten up your dull and boring day, switch on your makeup mode and take out a bright lippie or a bright nailpolish.Hurray!!! Your are all set to normal.

One day I went to H&G to get a lipstick for my friend. When I was checking lipsticks in Maybelline counter, I saw this cutely packed Maybelline Colorsensational lipstick in Autumn Rush. I fell in love with this in the first swipe.

Look at the packaging!!! A see through maroon case with silver bottom. So cute!!

It is a nice soft brown shade with no shimmer in it. The day I bought this lippie I used it like mad (You will definitely accept this after seeing my lipstick pic). It can be worn anytime, anywhere irrespective of occassion or dress.

It is super smooth on lips. Use it with a lip balm under this for better results. Moisturizes well.

Home remedies for even skin tone

Atleast 5 in 10 people will be facing this uneven skin tone problem. This makes you look dull, older, tired and unhealthy.

Instead of using commercial products to get rid of uneven skin tone, herewith I will be providing you some remedies with products from you own kitchen.

Tomato:
Tomato is very good for body. It is not necessary to eat tomato to get its benefits.
Cut the tomato into two halves and rub it on your face and body. It removes tan on the skin.

Oatmeal:
Oatmeal acts a cleanser, mild scrub. Take some finely ground oatmeal and combine with water. Wash your face with this mixture. You feel the difference immediately. Your skin will be super smooth.
You can mix oatmeal with yogurt and use it as a skin brightening mask. Yogurt will have lactic acid which helps in removing dead cells and brighten the complexion.

Honey and Lemon:
Especially for those who have dry skin, honey works wonders. It has powerful anti-bacterial properties on at least sixty species of bacteria, and unlike antibiotics, which are often useless against certain types of bacteria. Honey is non-toxic and has strong effects. Mix honey with lemon and apply evenly on the face and neck. Keep it for 10mins and rinse. Skin will be mositured and glowing.

Lemon:
Combine a few drops of lemon juice to equal parts distilled water in a clean bottle.
Shake well and apply with a cotton pad and leave the toner to dry on the skin. Lemon juice contains citric acid which helps as a bleaching agent and minimizes pores.
You can add chickpea flour, curd and turmeric to lemon, use this as a pack. This is an age old recipe for glowing skin.

Banana:
Take a ripe banana and mash it with a spoon and apply it on face. Leave it on for 10mins and wash. It gives instant glow. Banana tightens the skin.

Last but not least wash your face twice a day. Remove all traces of your makeup before sleeping.
Drink atleast 8 to 10 glasses of water. Add more fruits and veggies to your menu.
It is always better to use hot water splash before face wash so that pores will be opened and the cleansing can be done more effectively.
The last splash of water during face wash should be with cold water so that the pores will be closed.
Apply sunscreen 20minutes before going out in sun.

I started following these and I am happy to say that I feel the difference.

Thanks for your time...

Hi All,

I am so excited to share my experiences and reviews with u guys...
Thanks alot for passing by.

Coming to the review. I am an online shopping freak. Shopping- Ahhhh! I love it to the core. That too Sitting at home and ordering whatever we want just in a click away with special discounts is a great fun. Today I am going to review the online shopping website www.firstcry.com which is one of the asia's largest online website for maternity and kids products.

I am having a 2 year old girl baby who will always make everyone in the house busy with something or the other stuff. There is a situation when i became very busy with my personal and professional life that I can't even go and spend time in shopping. Then this website came in my way as a life saviour.

I started ordering all the stuff for my girl through this website for the past 1 year. From diapers, dresses, toys, feeding bottles, toileteries and even hair accessories. I could say I am pretty much happy with the service they are providing.

Website claims:
  • Over 3500 Baby and Kid products
  • Over 250+ major brands like Mattel, Ben10, Pigeon, Funskool, Hotwheels, Nuby, Farlin, Medela, Pampers, Disney, Barbie,Gerber, Zapak, Mee Mee and so on.
  • Easy return policy
  • More than 2lakh happy customers
  • Over time, we hope to ‘Change’ the way, Indian parents buy, so that they can be at home to spend more quality time with their ‘Little ones’ and family. (Impressed)
Some pros and cons:
Pros:
  • Having many major brands in their basket certificate.
  • Free shipping on orders over Rs100 which is reasonable.
  • Cash on delivery
  • Return policy: Within 45 days(on clothes) and 7 days(on other products) the whole amount will be refunded with a gift coupon
  • Shipping will be in 3 to 4 business days (excluding sundays and other holidays).
  • The packaging is good.
  • Website is very much user friendly. Can order by phone and also have 24*7 customer care.
Cons:

  • Previously the website used to be updated with new collections very frequently. Now I feel like the products are not frequently updated.
  • The packaging can be much better. (Got a broken hair band 5months back. But then I got it replaced with a gift coupon after sending few snaps of the broken hair band to the customer care, in a single day).
  • Before there used to be discounts for almost all the categories. But now very few products are having discounts.

Inspite of all the pros and cons, I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

Explore and enjoy the website. I am going to shop more and more from this :-)

Thanks alot for reading my review.
